A quick and crafty recycling tip

Just a quick tip for May Day bouquets or Mother's Day gifts. Paint, decoupage, wrap in paper or fabric, and otherwise decorate...those food cans! Good for flowers or, for mother's day - put some soil in with a little plant start. It's a perfect kid project, just watch out for any sharp edges.!

What a transformation - and blue/orange too. Seriously stylish, you've inspired me to get out the paintbrush.

Every now and then I need a quick and easy gift for a friend on short notice. I use the cans to make a pencil cup. I either use felt or fabric to cover the outside. I have made a robot one, a turkey one and one covered in pencil fabric for work. They are always a big hit and take very little to create.

Great idea for May Day and Mom or Grandma. How many of us have that bit of paint in the bottom of the can that we just can't bring ourselves to waste? That solves that. Thanks for the good hint.
