Another Fine Mess

Because there is so much "No."

So many "Don'ts"

A lot of "Stop!"

A bunch of "Wait!"

And many a refrain of "No! Don't! Stop! Wait!"

Sometimes...

Just sometimes...

A great big "Yes! Go For It!"

is truly the finest thing ever!

Happy Monday!

  3. Brilliant. That is what I believe, if there is no good reason for saying 'no' then why not say 'yes'

  5. Love it! Yes, there are way too many no's, often for good reason, but still, a resounding YES can be wonderful!

  6. You have to shout YES sometimes! My two did this last summer, it took 2 baths to get them clean. Happy days.

  16. Oh what fun! I would love to just shrink down to Pony Girl's size and go to town with those paints! Ah, the joys of childhood. You did good by giving her a "yes" on this one, as she will remember this freedom for a long time.

  19. You're a wonderful mother and a braver woman than me. I sent them to nursery school for paint, etc, as I couldn't stand the strain (and the mess, and the clearing up)!!

  20. How I envy Pony Girl! Makes me want to paint myself, but I'd be the one to have to clean up. Hmmm. I wonder if Emma the Beautiful Calico Queen would like to play in paints?
