Sweet Tooth

For a good portion of the month of November I was dreadful sick. Everything went by the wayside and now I don't know if I'll ever catch up, but I'm trying.

I am now aghast that we are already into the meat of December. The weather cold and wet, the skies dark and brooding. Seems like the perfect environment to get a little crafty. Yet, I find myself in a crafty slump. It looks as though I am over compensating for this slump by cooking up a storm and baking treats.

Even my girl and the Engineer are getting in on the action in the kitchen.

Dig her chef's hat!

How about you? Have you crossed everything off of your holiday making list? What do you do in a slump?

So glad you're over the worst now. Your baking treats look scrumptious, yummy. I've been doing a lot more baking/cooking than usual, since harmony and rosie has shut up shop and absolutely no crafting happening (aside from knitting :) . I love all the produce I can readily get here, whereas in the UK it is a mail order session, so I'm making the most of it all.
Have a good week xox

I'm not sure what is more stressful, being too busy to have any time to do anything or not being that busy but some how still not having time to make ALL the things I want to. Oh well this time next month we will look back and laugh, either that or promise ourselves we will be more organised next year. Just like we do every year in mid January.
Does this make any sense?
Not sure if it does, but I know what I mean!

If I'm in a creative slump, I make something small like an embroidered felt ornament, and that helps me relax and think of other things I'd still like to do. And what ARE the chocolate melty things on your post?! mmmmmm Wendy

Love all your goodies and your Beautiful Family! I have been baking and making my pants off! We are having Christmas here at the house again, and the focus is on baking and holiday treats. And even tho the weather has been wet and mild instead of cold and snowy, folks are still buying my hats, scarves and cowls, and a teddy bear here and there too! Happy Baking to you!I send my love, mare

Glad you are feeling better. I'm behind on Christmas preparations too, I think it always happens when the first weekend in December is also the very start of December, if you see what I mean. It's almost as if you lose a whole weekend of preparation time

Glad you are better I was laid low with the Novovirus a few weeks ago, not nice!
I'm so behind that my decorations are still in the loft and the weather is so cold I reallydon't feel like venturing up there.
Lovely photos, glad to see you have such wonderful helpers in the kitchen.

I've had to put Xmas shopping on the back burner due to horrible cold. Though I have done all the wrapping for the presents I have bought. I've done some tattoo style embroidery to keep me going. Your bakes look delicious! Glad you are feeling better.

Unfortunately, I tend to wallow in a slump. But I think baking and treat-making counts for SOMEthing, so you're ok.

I've got a few things left on the making list for this week, but I think most of the panic moments are over! :)
