Felt Egg

Just a quick post as a follow up to the egg pattern. I have to thank Feltorama for reminding me that I had wanted to test out my pattern on felt. I am excited to say it worked great! In the photo you can see that I'm not done yet. I think I might add some embroidery decoration.

A couple of tips using the egg pattern with felt:

Because felt is thicker, I definitely recommend clipping your curves (making sure not to clip though your stitches).

Also, leave as big an opening as you can, making it easier to turn right side out.

I will show you more when I finish.

  2. The felt egg is lovely! I can't wait to try and make one this weekend. I think I'll trim mine with some sweet new spring felt ribbon I picked up recently :)

  6. Hello! Listen, I tried to access to your entries through the links at the right side of the screen but I was not able, instead, I was sent to a blank page... does any one know what kind of trouble is that and how to solve it?

  7. After hubby made the most fantastic play kitchen for our kids from an old armoir my new obsession is felt food. I saw on another blog (wefolkart) where she made stuffable eggs(cracked eggs). Any suggestions for modifying your egg pattern into stuffable/crackable eggs?
