  2. I can relate on the level that my 3year old cut her own hair last week and she now has a fringe halfway back to cover up the "do". It will take her hair longer to recover than it took me. I now actually have days where I look at her new style and think "nice" That is one long pony tail!

  3. I am sure you just heard a gasp all of the way down I-5! When I saw the picture, an electrical jolt went through my entire body. You were both very brave to do this and I understand that every young lady needs to have a new look on occasion. It will be much easier and cooler when summer comes and I bet she looks just adorable in her new fresh hair-do. Bless your heart, you are a very good mommy to do such a hard thing. xo

  8. Just found my self back again staring open mouthed at the picture. I guess its like when you just can't help but return to the scene of the crime for another gawp. I guess this is what happens when our babies grow up. Damn and blast it!

  13. Wow! I can't wait for the 'after' picture! I used to love a short bob in the summer when I was here age because there was no tedious drying out after swimming....

  15. ::::GASP:::: OH....OH MY...OH MY OH MY OH MY... She must be fearless! I was like that once, I had long long hair and chopped it all off and died it black. Oh wow, I couldn't do that now though. The photo is perfect. It looks like a funeral photo, you know the old ones of the bodies in the coffins? Thats what it reminds me of anyways. Its lovely. In a morbid way. But lovely still.

  17. I have done this several times for locks of love - It's such a great freeing feeling - like your head is weightless. Pony girl must be loving this feeling. Don't worry it will grow back :)

  21. I also took in a sharp intake of breath. You're not even talking a few inches here. I'm getting shivers here because my youngest wants to cut her long locks to her shoulders and I'm negotiating it back down inch by inch. Mind you my eldest looks fab with a bob and bad with long hair so I talked her into whipping that off double quick. What a contrary mummy I am.

Can't wait to see how gorgeous she looks with her new style.

    X

  22. As the mother of three children born with an extremely dodgy hair growing gene (nine year old has had but two hair trims in her entire life), I am utterly distraught. ALL THAT LOVELY HAIR! I can only imagine that your girl has come over all light-headed...
