I'm playing with fabric dyes and paints again. Dreaming of someday having a dyers garden and trying my hand at natural dyes like
Annie. For now though, I'm happy to experiment in small batches in my laundry room.
This time with strips of wool felt and some cotton folded and sewn with waxed thread. Just to see what happens.
Sometimes it's good to make a mess.
I think it looks like a lot of fun. :)
ReplyDeleteThere must be something in the air, every one's thoughts are turning towards dyeing at the moment.
ReplyDeleteMaking a mess is one of the things I love best!
ReplyDeleteIf one of those cups had strong coffee or tea in it, and another tumeric dissolved in water, you would be natural dyeing, and you wouldn't even need a mordant :)
Thanks for the link Alex x
I have some over wintered beetroot, singing out to be turned into dye in the garden - the question is is it a bridge too far for the husband?! Enjoy:)
ReplyDeleteGreat fun, and they'll last longer than Easter eggs... ;-) Chrissie x
ReplyDeleteI thought the pots had pasta strips in! Looks good fun. X
