Hello Monday - Planting for the Future

"A garden is never so good as it will be next year."-- Thomas Cooper

The morning fog has given way to another bright and crisp Fall day, so I am to the garden, spade in hand, to plant a variety of flower bulbs.

Times 208 to be exact. That is a lot of little holes to dig! Oh but think of the pretty Spring we'll have!

Wow. Wow! But you're right, it will look amazing! (I wish I had that sort of motivation. I love the beauty, hate the work.)

Quote of truth! I'm loving this weather. Perfection.

Great quote! I've been splitting and transplanting this autumn, which feels like the reward for staying here longer than we've ever lived in any home before... things I planted a few years ago are big enough to share about the place now. I haven't bought any bulbs yet but you are tempting me!

Now, to your comment - I am transported back to Laura Ingalls Wilder! You actually got to rummage through the rubbish heaps of the old settlements! Oh wow, I am so jealous! What did you find?

It will be wonderful!

It was time to get the bulbs in here this weekend and it didn't happen with the stormy weather. We'll have to do it next week I guess :)
